Made in the USA: Shoe Box Organization

I know I have talked about this before, but one made in the USA products we love and use often on client organization projects is shoes boxes. These particular ones are from The Container Store and we use them all the time on projects. Besides being made in the USA, one of the things we love most about them is that they are durable and they always stack on top of each other perfectly because they have not changed the design. You can also stack them on other Container Store brand boxes in various ways. For these clients we used the regular shoe box and the boot box.

As you may know this blog features all kinds of things from professional organizing to concierge to eco topics. One of my favorite series that I have been doing on here for years is the Made in the USA series. So many products are now outsourced to other countries, which is fine, but personally I like using products that are made in the USA when I can. Since I am constantly working with professional organizing clients and The Container Store is my home away from home, I purchase and research A TON of products. New Products We are Loving from The Container Store Pt. 2

As a professional organizer I am always checking out what is new in the industry. Since I love going to The Container Store and it is basically my home away from home, it is always fun seeing when they have new products. The Houston locations sell out very quickly of certain items so when I know clients want certain products I have to jump on them!

It is great to have fresh and different ideas for clients because all spaces are SO different. Clients are always excited when we bring new and different products. So here is part 2 of new products we are loving from The Container Store.

What are some of your favorite products to use?

Drop Front Shoe Box: We have used drop front boxes for shoes and clothes a lot, but now they come in red and blue.

Ash Wood Roll Out Cabinet: Pull out drawers in cabinets are a great idea for so many different. reasons, but they are especially helpful for heavy dishes. I can't tell you how many cast iron pots, pans and baking dishes we have stored in pull out drawers through the years because they are so heavy.

White Modular Canister Set: What I like about these is they are great for stacking.

Clear Large Lazy Susan: I LOVE a lazy susan and love this large clear one because it goes with a lot of other clear items The Container Store sells and it has a lip to help items not fall over.

Stackable Acacia Drawer Organizer: If you know us you know we love a drawer organizer. Plus, these stack, which is great if you have deep drawers.

The Laundress 1 Gallon Detergent: If you have been following along for a long time then you know I have used and LOVE The Laundress products. Now The Container Store sells their 1 gallon size, which I personally buy for my own home.

Stackers Jewelry Organizer Clear Lids: We have used stackers jewelry boxes for a lot of clients through the years and as you know the lids are not see through, but now they are! Clients will love this.

6" Deep Drawer Dividers: I love that Linus made 6" drawer divider because these are great for really deep drawers, especially in kitchens and closets.

Shelf Clip Labels: It is always great to have more labeling options!

New Products We Are Loving from The Container Store

Steele Canvas Baskets: these became popular a few years ago and it is fun to see The Container Store is finally selling them.

Toy Storage: I always love new toy storage ideas.

Lion Hyacinth Bin:This is just so cute for a baby or kid's room. They come in other various animals as well.

Seagrass & Cotton Basket: I love that this basket folds down so you can change the style and size of it if you like.

White Rolling Bin: This is perfect for under the bed storage.

Acrylic Risers: I love using risers for various things and it is fun to see a different design of the acrylic riser.

Acrylic Lidded Box: We are using this on a client project coming up and can't wait to see how it looks on the desk.

Cart organizer: I know SO many clients who have these carts and because so many people use them in bathrooms, craft rooms, kid's rooms, etc. these cart organizers are so handy.

Black Wire Baskets: Black bins and baskets are definitely trending right now and I know so many client's who will love these.

My Container Store Gift Wrapping Favorites

I first saw The Container Store display their gift wrapping at the end of October and loved so many things, but the last thing I needed was to buy a whole bunch of new wrapping supplies because I have so much already. With that said, since I am a concierge and do many personal assistant tasks for clients all over Houston, I get to buy a ton of wrapping supplies. That is just as satisfying :). I love to see what my clients pick out. Below are some of my favorite picks from this season.

Christmas Stripe Wrapping Paper: I love the simplicity and colors of this wrapping paper.

Modern Gift Tags: These are fun gift tags and are great if you are going for that modern look.

Green Yarn Ribbon: This green yarn also comes in white and reminds me of when I was younger and gifts were wrapped with it.

Alpine Wrapping Paper: I think this is just such fun wrapping paper.

Nutcracker Tags: These are just classic holiday gift tags.

Star of David Wrapping Paper: Love this paper for my clients and friends celebrating Hanukkah.

Stripe Boxes: I really like that these boxes are inexpensive and cute. They also come in all different sizes.

Holiday Sweater Tissue Paper: I usually like the sweater patterns, so it is no surprise that I would like this tissue paper.

Treat Boxes: I really like these treat boxes to give your homemade treats to others in.

Santa Sack: There is usually a need for large items that can't properly be wrapped or there are not bags big enough, so that is when sacks come into play.

Trees Wrapping Paper: I am always a fan of the simple trees wrapping paper.

Green and Red Shred: I love to put shred into gifts that I am shipping and this shred makes it a little more festive.

Navy Ribbon: When I saw this ribbon in store I loved it. It is great for Hanukkah gifts or to use after the holidays.

12 Days Tin: Need to send homemade goodies? These are super cute.

Santa Gift Card Holder: If you are giving a gift card this is a fun one to use.

Plaid Wrapping Paper: You can't go wrong with a classic plain wrapping paper.

Sleigh Ride Bag: I love this fun bag.

Gold Holiday Sentiments Tissue Paper: Sometimes I like to wrap gifts in tissue paper and I like this one.

Red and White Ribbon: I really like this ribbon because it is simple and festive.

Gift Card Box: You can always use gift card boxes.

Small Pantry Organization

I always forget to take/post before and after photos. Here is a small organization project I did at my house. Ever since moving into our house almost a year ago, I never did anything with the pantry like I had planned. I really wish it was a walk in pantry, but I have to work with what I got. I have only had one "true" pantry since I have lived on my own and that was my very first apartment in college. The pantry was super tiny. The pantry we currently have is deep, so you can't really see the items in the back. I have been wanting some pull outs for it since we moved in. 

I decided to go with the Elfa shelving from The Container Store. It is SUPER easy to install. At the beginning of the year they always have a sale on Elfa shelving and this year it happens until February 11 with 30% off of Elfa. The gliders don't utilize the space in the best way possible as there is extra room on the sides, but it works just fine for us. We don't have a ton of pantry items and we can always put items on the side if need be. I love that I can pull out the drawers and actually see what is in there.
