Adult Easter Basket for Men

Every year I give my husband an Easter basket full of goodies. May be cheesy, but who cares and I love putting them together every year. I usually don't post on here what I am getting him for the current year in case he happens to read it, so below are things that I got him last year.

Bug a salt: My husband loves this. So much so that we had to buy them for family and friends for Christmas.

Rotating ratchet: My husband has just about every gadget tool I feel and this is something he saw and did not have. He liked the twist handle on it.

Extension bar: This is another tool item that helps you loosen bolts in tight, hard to reach spaces.

Bombas socks: I wasn't sure what the hype was in regards to these socks, but I decided to get a pair for my husband and seems to like them ok, but still wears another brand more.

Foot peel: If your significant other has super dry feet like mine does then a foot mask may be in order.

Lotto tickets: I love filling the eggs with lotto tickets. It's always a fun thing to see if you won any money.

Candy: I mean what is Easter without Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.

Gift cards: Sometimes I also put gift cards in the eggs for coffee places that I know my husband likes.

Experience gift: I lot of times I will also include a gift for some type of experience whether this is to do something together or just for him.

Adult Easter Basket for Men

I have done a couple of different posts about adult Easter baskets through the years and you can see the posts here and here. I give my husband an Easter basket every year. This year, especially since all of the COVID-19 stuff is going on and we can't see family, I wanted to do something fun for my husband. I actually got all the supplies early in January and February, but I have proceeded to eat through the Reese's eggs I had stashed away, so I had to buy more. Below are pictures of what I did last year because I don't want me husband to see this and know what he is getting this year. Here is what was in his basket. I know it may seem like a lot, but usually I get things on sale or buy a little at a time so it is not super overwhelming financially. I try to get useful, practical things mixed in with some fun things.  Do you do an adult Easter basket for someone in your life? If so, what do you or have you included in it?

Mizzen and Main Shirt: He really likes these shirts and I am sure I got it on sale at some point because I almost always buy them when they are on sale. He almost only gets them on special occasions like birthdays and holidays.

Willams-Sonoma Lemon Cookies: I was in the store last year and the sales associate said these were popular and everyone loved them. Since my husband loves lemon flavored things I thought I would include them in his basket.

Grey and Brown Apple Watch Bands: My husband has an Apple Watch and loves it so I got him some new watch bands.

Apple Watch Charger: He also wanted another charger for his watch so I go home another one.

Texas Monthly Hat: I got him this, but I am the one who actually wears it the most.

Lottery Tickets: If you have seen my past holiday posts you know I almost always involve lotto tickets like in stockings, Easter eggs, etc. My parents did this for me growing up, so I continued on with the tradition.

Starbucks Gift Card: He loves coffee and Starbucks always has fun holiday themed gift cards.

Reese's Candy: This is one of his favorite candies, so I always include it.

Fun Easter Decor

I know that I don't post a lot of decor ideas, but we get asked to put up decorations all the time, style bookshelves, etc. Professional organizer and concierge has so many different meanings to us, we are a jack of all trades ;)

Moss Bunny: These are super cute if you

Golden Easter Egg Candy Dish: Looking for a different kind of candy dish? This golden egg one is fun.

Easter Napkins: Love the simplicity of these Easter napkins.

Alabaster Eggs: I recently found some alabaster eggs at a local resale shop and think they are so cute.

Bunny Wreath: I bought this, this year and have it in a window of ours and it is super fun.

Bunny: I also bought this, this year and it look great next to a bowl of eggs on our kitchen table.

Assorted Eggs: The pictures don't do these justice, but I have the glitter ones and they are super cute in a glass bowl.

Glass Basket: This is great to put the glitter or alabaster eggs in.

Easter Garland: Fun and simple garland to decorate with.

Adult Eco Easter Basket

  • Fair Trade Basket. Use a fair trade basket as an Easter basket and then reuse the basket for something else.
  • Towels as filler. Instead of using the "grass" that is usually in Easter baskets, substitute for dish towels that can later be reused.
  • Organic Delish Fish. The popular Swedish style fish candies in organic form.
  • Silione Food Bags. These always come in handy when storing food on the go. Great for lunches.
  • Eco Wine. The Crossings is a brand that my husband really likes and I didn't know it was an eco wine until I was doing research for this post.
  • Eco Dying Kit. Have fun dying eggs with this eco dying kit.
  • Face Wash. Who doesn't love a good, eco face wash?
  • Eco Modern Concierge Gift Certificate. Give the gift of getting stuff done. Hire a professional organizer or personal assistant to tackle that to-do list.
  • Eco Hammock. Spring is the perfect time to whip the hammock out and this eco version looks fun.
  • Organic Gardening Book. Spring is the perfect time to get started on that organic garden.
  • Organic Cold Brew Coffee. Cold brew coffee perfect for those hot days ahead and it is earth positive.
  • DoTerra Purify Essential Oil. One of my clients made a cleaning solution with this oil and it smelt amazing.

Eco Easter Ideas and How to Green Your Easter

The last few years I have done various eco Easter posts on the blog and wanted to post about them again. Here is eco Easter egg options. Here is how to green your Easter.

There are many ways to go green during Easter. Try to buy less for the holiday if at all possible. With that said below are some eco options during Easter time.
  • Reuse baskets from year to year. If you must get a new basket I always see a ton of options at places like Goodwill.
  • Use shredded newspaper or magazines for Easter basket "grass".
  • Dye eggs naturally using spices/vegetables. Here are some options here. Of course, there is always Pinterest with a ton of options. Also, I saw at Whole Foods that they have natural dye packets.
  • Eco, compostable eggs made from plants.
  • Check out resale shops or make your own decorations.
  • Use local or fair trade chocolate from places like Tejas Chocolate (spotted their chocolate at Jane and John Dough Bakery), Araya Artisan ChocolateThe Chocolate Bar and Cacao & Cardamom.
  • Give plants as gifts like herbs or Easter lilies.
  • Cook an Easter meal with in season veggies.
  • Donate or give away Easter items you no longer use.
  • If you are using disposable plates/utensils use bamboo or a brand that is compostable. You can find tons of options online or at places like Whole Foods.
  • Buy eco toys. There are many options on Amazon. Most toy stores now have great eco plastic and wood toy options.
  • Buy items from local shops. There are great shops all over Houston that I love like Revival Market (food items), Penzy's (spices), Biscuit Home (kids, adults, home, etc), and Space Montrose (stationery, jewelry among all kinds of items). I will need to do a future post of local places in Houston that I really like.
Do you have any eco Easter options?

Adult Easter Basket for Men

Does anyone else give their significant others Easter basket goodies? Here is an idea that I gave my husband last year for Easter. For me it is hard to think of things that he will enjoy and doesn't have. There are so many things you can put in there like a photobook, Instax film camera, small LEGO set, leather goods, their favorite drink mixes, movies, records/ cds, books, etc. etc. Below is what was in his basket:
  • Revolution Bloody Mary Mix. Made in Austin, TX.
  • Tito's Vodka. His favorite vodka and made in Austin, TX.
  • Yeti cup. Not the one pictured because he already had that one, but a larger one. They are an Austin, TX company, but some of their products are made in the USA and some in China.
  • Trader Joe's peanut butter cups and egg chocolates. The peanut butter cups are sooo good. Peanut butter cups are made in the USA and the chocolate eggs are made in France.
  • I filled the eggs with lotto tickets and the golden egg had a Darth Vader keychain in it that he saw when we were at the lego store. The lotto ticket are made in ? and the keychain is made in Hungary and China.

There are so many different things you can do for Easter eggs to make them eco and green. Whether you want them for the kids or to have them out for decoration. There are so many eco Easter basket ideas that I have seen at Whole Foods. Here is a round up of some of my favorite options starting from the top left going right.

Ukrainian Easter Eggs: Site and photo source. These are beautiful hand painted eggs you can reuse year after year. Made in Canada.
Naturally Dyed Easter Eggs: Site and photo source. This is fun way to use veggies, fruits and spices to dye your own Easter eggs instead of using artificial dyes. Made anywhere because you do it yourself.
Eco Easter Eggs: Site and photo source. These are made from renewable materials and can be reused year after year or composted. This company is woman owned and you can find these eggs at Whole Foods. Made in the USA.
Eco-Egg Coloring Kit: Site and photo source. This kit uses veggie, fruit and plant extracts to dye eggs. Can be found at Whole Foods. Made in the USA.
Wood Easter Egg: Site and photo source. These are blank wood Easter eggs that you can keep the natural wood color or paint. They are made in Russia / USA.
