If you live in Houston you know that hurricanes are a common thing here. When I am helping concierge and professional organizing clients I often come upon or create emergency plans / supplies for clients just in case something might happen. We often gather much needed supplies and everything they could need in case an emergency were to happen. Here is a past blog post I did on preparing for hurricanes.
If you are not aware the city of Houston has some fantastic free resources for you to utilize. You can get document bags, whistles, disaster relief guides, lights, etc. all from the city of Houston if you request it. They will even have someone come out and talk to your group and bring you all these goodies if you request it. Check out readyhoustontx.gov for more information. Several times we have had them speak for the National Concierge Association of Greater Houston and they are always fantastic.
