Houston Professional Organizer // Client Harvey Renovation Finally Complete: Pantry Organization

We have been helping this client organize for several years and they are just the sweetest. They flooded in Harvey, so their whole house went through a massive, loooong renovation that was finally completed in 2020. We have helped them in all areas of the home and can't wait to show you all the areas. This post alone is long overdue. They lived in one part of their house while the rest of the house was being renovated, so their food / pantry situation was not the best for awhile. This is their pantry. I love that all their shelves are adjustable. If you plan on doing a renovation anytime soon, I highly recommend putting in cabinets and shelves that have adjustable shelving. It makes a huge difference because you can customize your space based on the foods, appliances, and items you are going to keep in there.

• Glass jars

Houston Professional Organizer // Pantry Organization

This pantry organization project is from a long time client and they have moved since we last organized this pantry, but I never showed it so I thought I would post about it here finally. This particular pantry has deep shelves which can make it hard to organize. This is where it has come in handy to have lazy susans. 

Here is what we did:

1. We took everything out.
2. Got rid of expired items.
3. Sorted like items together.
4. Organized items into the bins and various organization tools we purchased.
5. Then labeled.

Here are the products we used:

• Lazy susans
• Can riser
• White bins
• The white bins on the ground are actually no longer available, but these are similar just canvas and they come in stripe or plain canvas.

Houston Professional Organizer // Client World Traveller: Pantry Organization

I have worked with this client for many, many years and she moved into this space in River Oaks / Montrose area of Houston several years ago, but the pantry never got organized. I do everything from professional organizing to concierge work for her. One day when she was out of town I asked her if I could organize her pantry and she said yes! When she got back from her business trip was so surprised and how everything turned out. This project cost less than $150 and made a HUGE impact. A little organizing can go a long way.

Here is what I did:

1. Got rid of expired food.
2. Sorted like foods and items together.
3. Organized everything into bins. 
4. Used a water bottle organizer.
5. Labeled.

Client Woodlands Mama: Pantry Organization Before & After

Pantry organization is one of the top areas we get asked to organize. I helped this client in The Woodlands get her pantry organized last year. She already had a really great base, but wanted to elevate it a little. We used what she already had to get organized besides getting a few things. Here is a little of what we did:

1. Got rid of expired items
2. Grouped liked items together (she had done a great job of this already)
3. I rearranged the placement of some items already in her pantry
4. Contained the like items together in the organizing supplies she already had

Client Eado Get it Done: Pantry Organization Before & After

This is a pantry organization project that I did a couple of years ago. The client chose to go with the hyacinth bins, we also used a can organizer and the rest we used what the client had per their request. Most of the times, we also use bin clips with these types of bins. 

Here is what we did:

• Take everything out
• Wipe down shelves
• Go through and get rid of anything that is expired
• Sort like items together
• Put most like items into bins
• Put the bins back into the pantry
• We put water and large appliances at the bottom of the pantry
• Find what you need in the organized pantry!

Client Downsizing Couple: Pantry Organization Before & After

This couple was semi downsizing and we helped them get organized in their new place. It was 2 organizers and we helped line all of the shelves in the kitchen and bathrooms with shelf liner and helped them get organized and set up in their new home. Client Use What You Already Have: Pantry Organization

Sometimes when you look at blog posts you expect to see things that are completely pretty, but the fact of the matter is, that is not always real life. This blog post is real life and how a majority of my clients have things. This particular client we used things that they already had to organize the space. They used their walk in pantry for multiple things like child toys, food, appliances, dishes and liquor. 

1. We got rid of expired food. 
2. Put like items together.
3. Organized the shelves in a way that worked best for them.
4. Put least used items towards the top.
5. Put most used items at eye level for the adults and toys at bottom for the little one.

Client Busy Mama: Pantry Organization

As I have talked about on here before, a lot of clients that hire me to help them get organized don't always necessarily want new products and we use what they already have. With this client we purged old food, rearranged some of the shelving and then put accessible items on the bottom and things that are not used a lot on the top.

Client Fun, Busy Family: Pantry Organization Before and After

You may remember when I did a pantry organization project for this family earlier this year and posted about it here. Well, they had a slight remodel and redid the whole pantry with built in drawers, shelves that go up higher and a built in spice rack. They also had a bunch of containers they wanted to use in the new pantry and have it be more cohesive. I lined all the shelves with shelf liner. Below are some of the before and afters.
