Made in the USA: Mary's Candles

Last year my aunt's gave me this Mary's Candles in the Creme Brûlée scent and it smells divine. I was so excited to see that they are at Walmart. I love the way they smell and that they are made in the USA. I do like using essential oils, but also like using candles from time to time. I think these would make a perfect holiday or hostess gift. At $7 you can't beat the price. Note: the online linked price is higher than they were in store.

What are some of your favorite candles?

Easy Gift: Book + Booze

I think this is such a  fun, easy gift to give. A book and booze. This is a fun little book, which is perfect for any literary friends, and it has various cocktail recipes. You can pair it with a small or large bottle of liquor. We have given this as gifts and it seems to be received well. What are some of your favorite gifts to give?

Made in the USA: Crane Crest

I first found out about this company Crane Crest several years ago from A Cup of Jo. I have to say I really like this salad dressing. I think it is the perfect dressing to give as gifts and just to have around the house. To place an order you have to call them at 617-277-1325 and they come in cases of 6. I love the taste of it and it is always a hit when I pass it along to someone else. It is made in the USA!

What are some of your favorite gifts to give?

Made in the USA: The Body Deli Rose Mist

One of my clients gave me a bottle of this that she no longer wanted and I actually loved it. I am usually not a fan of rose mists, but really like this one by The Body Deli. I love the way it wakes me up and makes me feel good. Plus, it is made in the USA. What are some of your favorite made in the USA face mists?

Made in the USA: Sisters of Los Angeles Texas Rock Glasses

I first stumbled upon Sisters of Los Angeles a couple of years ago at a local Houston store when I was looking to get only made in the USA gifts for a client for Christmas. I really thought that I had already posted about their candles on here, but couldn't find the post so I will definitely need to post about it soon. These Texas rock glasses include Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio glasses. I think these make the perfect gift because they are made in LA, made with organic ink and are fun. So happy when I stumbled upon them in the sale section of a local store.

These are some other glasses from them as well.

Made in the USA: Brahms Mount Blanket

A couple of years ago I was visiting friends in Dallas and wandered into Steve Alan to see what all the rage was about. I loved that they sold Clare Vivier items because I love her bags. Then I happened upon this Brahms Mount blanket shown in the pictures in the sale section. I am always a sucker for a good sale. I love the blanket because it is made in the USA and is light weight enough to curl up with in the summer. It may be weird, but sometimes if I get the rare chance to take nap and the bed is already made I just get this blanket to put over me because 1. I don't want to unmake the bed 2. I like to have some type of sheet/blanket or something on me when I sleep.

Here is another Brahms Mount blanket I really like, but it is way more than I paid for mine.

Ethically Made: Smathers and Branson

Throughout the years I have been seeing Smathers and Branson items more and more. They are very fashionable and have such a wide variety of items from belts to wallets to key chains to flasks and the list goes on. They are all ethically hand needlepointed by artisans in Vietnam. You can read more about it here. I was at a local store Biscuit Home here in Houston where I picked up this coin purse. What are some of your favorite ethically sourced and made products?

Made in the USA / Houston: Ann Page Coasters

I first got these coasters at The Cottage Thrift Shop here in Houston and thought they were so fun for parties, gatherings, etc. I immediately saw on the back that they were made in the USA, which I loved even more. Then once I started researching the Ann Page website I saw that they are actually based here in Houston! How fun is that?! Do you of you have any of these products?

Made in the USA: Hedley & Bennett Aprons

Are you a fan of Hedley & Bennett aprons? I stumbled upon them several years ago and can't get over how cute & functional they are. I personally don't have one, but I gave my husband the Squid Ink one a couple of years ago and he loves it. He uses it in his workshop. What he loves about it is that it can hold several of his tools, pencils, tape measures, etc. I love the variety of styles & colors and that they are made in the USA! Plus, they have cute kids ones as well. I really need to get my hands on one for myself sometime soon.

Made in the USA: Grow. Sunflowers

Some friends of my husband and I gave us this Grow. Sunflowers kit as a gift and I thought it was such a unique gift. Of course I love that it is made in the USA. They also come in a variety of different kinds like cocktails, greens, herbs, and salsa. Plus, it was such a fun, easy thing to plant. It has only been less than a week since they were planted and they have already started to grow. I can't wait to see how big they get. They make great gifts for kids, hostess gifts, etc.

Made in the USA: Glassybaby Candle Holders

I hope I finally figured out the font issue on the blog, but for some reason it won't let me go back and change it and I don't want to put the time in to figure out what is going on. I feel like I am always saying on the blog "I have loved this product a long time" or "I have been a long time fan", but most of the products I put on here I have used and liked them a long time. I try to find content to write about from things I've used on regular basis. With that said....

I have loved Glassybaby for many years. They have beautiful candle holders. They are handblown and made in the USA. Plus, depending on which ones you buy proceeds will go back to a charity. I have several throughout my home and have given them as gifts throughout the years.
