Natural Sunscreens

May is melanoma awareness month. Protecting your skin is something that I think is very important. No matter what your ethnicity or skin color is, it is very important to wear sunscreen and protect your skin when you are outside for long periods of time. As you can see above these are some of my favorite natural sunscreens. 

• Supergoop! sunscreen mist SPF 50 (also comes in an SPF 30)
• Josie Maran broad spectrum SPF 40 lotion. I try to use this on my face daily.
• Josie Maran SPF 30+ argan sun protection for body.
• Badger SPF 30+. I like to use this one when I go snorkeling because it is reef safe.
• EOS lemon drop SPF 15 lip balm

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

I am lucky enough to have a some special moms in my life that include, my mom, mother in law, grandmother, grandmother in law, and my aunts and aunts in law.

I often organize for  people who have ADD or are in the creative business and these two books have really helped many of my clients and have helped me understand my clients better when working with them. My Furry Baby and Eco Shampoo

Today it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day in Houston. My sweet baby, Rothko, LOVES laying out in the sun. Today was the perfect day for him because it was sunny and not too hot. 

Also, we love using this eco dog shampoo by Mrs. Meyers. I thought I would continue with earth week showing off some eco products I really like as Earth Day started off the week on Monday.

Happy Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day! Below is a picture of some of my favorite eco friendly items. 

For the office: I love Russell + Hazel office items, recycled "farmers market" edition post -it notes and recycled pencils.

For the home: I really like Seventh Generation and Honest products. I really LOVE The Laundress products, which I have blogged about several times in the past. Especially, their Stain Solution. I made a recycled cork trivet that works great to put hot pots, pans and dishes on. Of course my very handy FEED bags that I use when I go to the farmers market and grocery store. 

For beauty: I really like EOS shave cream and their chapstick. I LOVE Josie Maran make-up and beauty products.
