Fall 2021 Bucket List

Now that it is officially fall there are several things that I definitely want to do since it is our first year of being parents. Now that our sweet son is more aware of things I definitely want to integrate him into traditions we already have and start new traditions.

  • Go to a pumpkin patch
  • Go to the zoo and ride the train
  • Sensory play with leaves and gourds. This is just something random I saw online, so I thought I would try it with our little one.
  • Outdoor movie. This is a must every year.
  • Add some new Halloween decor.
  • Try a new fall or holiday themed cocktail.
  • Make a pie. I have never tried to make a pie from scratch, but this year may be a good year for that.
  • Go on a hay ride.
  • Go to a new fall festival.

Fall 2020 Bucket List

What is on your bucket list for the fall?I have so much that I love to do, but think it may look a bit different this year because of COVID. Here are some things I am hoping to do this fall:
  • Go camping
  • Hike a new trail
  • Carve a pumpkin (we haven't done this in years)
  • Have a dinner party....we shall see
  • Slow down this season. The beginning of fall usually begins the craziness of all things holidays.
  • Go on a ghost tour
  • Take our Christmas card photos. Last year we did it a little different so hopefully we can have a professional do it this year.
  • More outdoor dinners

Fall 2019 Bucket List

It is finally starting to feel more like fall here in Houston today (still hot though) and I noticed I hadn't put up my fall bucket list yet. Being a professional organizer and concierge, the holidays become insane for us, so I have to be diligent about carving out some time to do the things I love. Here are some things that are on my bucket list this year. What is on your fall bucket list?

  • Do more speaking engagements.
  • Finish our sunroom. Remember this was my bucket list 2 years ago (eek!) Hopefully this year is my year.
  • Have every bit of my holiday presents planned for by Nov. 25th.
  • Try new recipes using seasonal ingredients.
  • Go to a Halloween party. I haven't been in years.
  • Decorate more for Thanksgiving. This is my husband's favorite holiday.
  • Carve a pumpkin. We haven't done this in years.
  • Attend a fall festival. I haven't been to one in years.
  • Order business holiday cards early.

My Fall 2017 Bucket List

I love the fall time and from the time October hits it is non-stop go, go, go until the end of the year for us. This year is particularly busy with music festivals, weddings, bachelorette party, etc. etc. Here are some things on my fall bucket list. By creating a list I hope that it helps me stay more organized and plan my down time wisely.

Toast pumpkin seeds. Every year we get real pumpkins and last year we toasted pumpkin seeds with cinnamon and they turned out SO good. I really want to remember to do that again this year.

Host an outdoor movie night. We used to do this a lot more, but it has been almost a year since we did an outdoor movie night, so I hope to do another one.

Go to a new dog park. Our sweet dog, Rothko, LOVES going to the park and for walks, so I want to take him somewhere new.

Run more. I hate running in the summer, which I did more this past summer than normal, but I really like running in the fall / winter because there is something refreshing about running in the cool air. Plus, I need to do more cardio.

Weekend getaway. We have a few weekend getaways planned and are going to some new places, which I am really excited about.

Open the windows. I don't know why I don't do this more in the fall, but this year I really need to remember to open the windows throughout the house more, turn off the a/c and let cool air in.

Finish our sunroom. So this has been a goal for a couple of years and something we started last year, but this year WE WILL finish that dang sunroom.

Host a dinner party. We LOVE hosting and having people over, so I really want to host a fun dinner party this year sometime in the fall for friends and neighbors.

Go on more bike rides. We love going on bike rides and I really want to bike Buffalo Bayou since it has been renovated. I did once in May, but fall is a great time to check out new bike trails.

Finish holiday shopping early. This may be wishful thinking, but I really want to have most of my shopping done by December 1st.

Organize the garage. This is totally my husbands domaine because I have organized the garage I don't know how many times, so I have finally pretty much given up, but hopefully it is something we or he can tackle this fall.

My Fall Bucket List

I thought I would make a fall bucket list of things I want to do this fall. If you know me, you know that I like to go go go. I really need to slow down sometimes, but once October hits our calendars are usually jam packed with events.

Here are some things that I hope to do this fall:
  • Go to a new winery or brewery.
  • Explore a new city in Texas.
  • Try 3 new crockpot recipes.
  • Go to the Renaissance Festival. We haven't been in years and I really want to go.
  • Go see a show at the redone Heights Theater in Houston. This is where Bry and I's reception was years ago when it was Gallery M Squared.
  • Start to learn to play the piano.
  • Visit a pumpkin patch.
  • Volunteer somewhere new.
  • Start writing a gratitude journal. I did this years ago and want to start it again because I have so much to be grateful for.
  • Go camping. I haven't been camping in years and want to go when it isn't scorching out.
  • Go to the drive in. We haven't been in years and once again I want to go when it isn't scorching out.

What are some things on your fall bucket list?
