Being a professional organizer in Houston, we often work in a ton of high rises and apartment buildings and one thing that is always limited is space. Most apartments, lofts and high rises just don't have an ample amount of storage, so our job is to maximize the space the best we can.
Here are a few tips on what to do when space is limited:
- Go vertical. You can gain a lot of extra storage when you go vertical with your organization items.
- Utilize wall space. Using the wall space with shelves, hooks, command hooks, etc. is a great way to maximize space. An example would be to utilize command hooks to display large sun hats that may not have a proper space or that may not fit on the shelves.
- Utilize multipurpose products. Utilizing multipurpose products like ottomans that double as storage is a great way to save space while being functional.
One of the number one products that we love using on projects to save and maximize space is the over the door racks because you can utilize so much space. They are great to use in pantries, closets, nurseries, etc.
